If you're having problems with Fortuna features

If you're unable to access some of the features in-game, don't panic! It's usually a simple fix, unless you're enjoying several days viewing '404' :3

If you can see the loading screen but go no further:

Try refreshing the web content by hitting [F5] from your browser window. This asks your browser to reload the page, in case there is missing or garbled information from the game server.
If that doesn't work, clear your internet cache (and then refresh again ^_~). Your browser will store some files on your computer so that pages can load quickly or be accessed offline. This is your cache, and your browser likes to reads files stored here in place of updated, newer content.  Here's how to delete the cache to force your browser to read the shiny new content:

In Mozilla Firefox

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and select 'Options'.
  2. Select the Advanced panel.
  3. Click on the Network tab.
  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click 'Clear Now'.

In Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar ().
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.
  4. Make sure that 'Empty the cache' is selected.
  5. Use the drop-down menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select 'beginning of time' to delete everything, but clearing data from the past week should be enough.
  6. Click 'Clear browsing data'.

In Opera

  1. Close your game window (yes, really).
  2. Type opera:cache into the address bar.
  3. Click 'Empty Now'

In Internet Explorer (IE9/10 - some people like it)

  1. From the gear icon in the menu bar, select Tools > Safety > Delete browsing history.
  2. Uncheck 'Preserve Favorites website data' and check 'Temporary Internet Files' and' Cookies'.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Alt method: Open the Dev Tools window by hitting [F12].
  5. Type [ctrl+R] (or click Cache> Clear browser cache).
  6. Clear those bad boys!


Clearing your internet cache will force the browser to load the flash file that contains all the game elements, but it won't clear the files that flash itself calls on. If you're having problems with refreshing the tavern, using consumable items or playing the Spinner, you'll probably need to clear your flash player cache.


  1. Right click anywhere in-game and select 'Global Settings' A new window or tab will open.
  2. Look for 'Website Storage Settings panel' from the Settings Manager menu (usually on the left).
  3. When the panel loads, click the [Delete All Sites] button.

[*]Note: Don't bookmark the Flash Player settings window. If you navigate straight to that page you probably won't see a bean. Always access it via the flash site.

About deleting cookies:

Cookies are files stored on your computer that are read by the server when you access a website. Basically, cookies identify you and allow you to be recognised. Know why? Because they leave a trail of crumbs ^_~

Although game publishers often tell us to delete our cookies when they are having a problem, it's unlikely that this will resolve an issue, though not impossible. Cookies typically contain information about your preferences and login status. If there is a problem identifying you in the game, for example after a purchase, clearing cookies might help. Clearing cookies will force you to log into the publisher site again, because the crumbs that identified you have been cleared away. But don't spam cookie-cleaning! Too much log-in activity on your account within a short time period will raise a flag, and you could find yourself raging against a temporary ban, so be careful!
